Client-side Data Cache Editor
Description
Download and store data - files, images, data from a SQL database, etc - locally on the client using the Client-side Data Cache. Data stored on the client can be referenced locally using JavaScript and is available offline in mobile applications.
Discussion
The Client-side Data Cache Editor can be used to define items of 'SQL Query', 'Nested SQL Query', 'Static Data', or 'Xbasic' type. These items can in turn be used inside certain controls to various ends. For example, you can use them inside a Form View control to create a built-in list of options in the form.
To add an item to the data cache simply click the 'Add item' button. Give the item an name, highlight it in the list, and click the 'Edit item' button. An Edit Data Client-side Item dialog will appear with a number of property sheets for different item types.
